Dawns New Horizon started out in 2006 by Lorraine Saunders from Norwich
After being subjected to years of abuse from her ex husband, Lorraine rebuilt her life and in doing so, she quickly realised there was a lack of local help and support, which was free and easily accessible.
So, Lorraine decided she was going to make a difference and the only way to do so was to start up her own domestic violence support group.
Dawns New Horizon is a non profit making domestic violence support organisation. Providing a help and support service on the phone or face to face to both men and women to the whole of Norfolk.
We offer our support to victims who have experienced domestic or sexual abuse, providing them with information and support. Our services include some of the following;
- •FREE counseling service
- •Accompanying victims to hospitals, police, the doctors, solicitors
- •Safety planning
- •Help with rehabilitation
- •Completing forms
- •Sign posting to other agencies
- •Providing a listening ear
The support we offer enables amongst other things helps victims to take back control of their lives.
